San Diego, CA — A jogger was put in the hospital following an accident in San Diego, California, on Thursday, April 30, 2015. The accident took place at the intersection of Mona Lisa Street and Del Mar Trails Road, around 2:15 in the afternoon.
The woman injured in the crash was jogging toward a nearby park when the accident happened. The collision knocked her unconscious and broke several of her bones. She was taken to a local hospital. Her name wasn’t released.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was not injured, although her car was dented and her windshield cracked.
The accident is currently being investigated.

I’d be interested in knowing the exact timing of this accident. Of course, there are always going to be things that a driver has no time to react to. However, driving through a neighborhood, I’m having a hard time believing that, unless the driver just was paying no attention to the road at all, she would have missed the victim entirely. If this turns out to be a case of a driver just not paying attention to the road, then of course she can be held liable for the accident.
