Commentary
Right now, we don’t know enough about this accident to give any sort of advice on how one would proceed should they find themselves in similar circumstances. However, we can say that any time one is involved in an accident with a tractor-trailer, it’s important to collect as much evidence as possible, should liability ultimately rest with the commercial truck. Skid marks on the road, witness statements, any surveillance footage that was recorded, and data from the truck’s computer can be key in figuring out exactly what happened in the moments leading up to an accident. The importance of that information really can’t be overstated.
