Commentary
We still don’t know exactly what happened in this accident, so I couldn’t really speak to it specifically. However, I will say that I’ve a few similar accidents in the past, and as far as liability is concerned, a driver can be held responsible for a crash, if it’s found that it was his actions that led to his passengers being injured. There’s also the possibility that there was something wrong with the towing mechanism. If that turns out to be the case, then this could be an instance where liability falls on the manufacturer.
