North Amityville, PA — Last week, there was a serious car accident on New Highway in North Amityville that left a man with severe injuries after a coffee truck, an SUV, and a pickup truck collided. Police said that it happened on Thursday, March 19, at about 6:30 a.m. in the morning.
They said that a coffee truck was headed south along New Highway that morning when he tried to make a left turn onto New Horizons Boulevard.
As he did so, he was hit by a northbound pickup truck and then a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. The accident did major damage to all the cars involved, but the man in the SUV was the most seriously injured.
He was taken to a hospital with major injuries while the truck drivers were treated for minor injuries. Though it seems like the coffee truck’s driver may have failed to yield, the police haven’t mentioned anything about citing or charging the driver. This may need more investigation in the near future.
