ACCOMACK COUNTY, VA — Robert Isdell was identified as the man that was hurt in a tractor-trailer accident that happened in Accomack County, Virginia on Thursday, February 19th, 2015. Local news said that the accident happened just before 4:00 Thursday morning.
Polcie said that Robert Isdell was hurt when the VDOT truck he was driving was crushed by a tractor-trailer while on Route 13. Police said that the truck lost control and tipped on the truck.
Isdell was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The Virignia State Police are still investigating the accident.

Whenever I see the words “lost control” in an accident with a tractor-trailer, I see it no differently than a dog walker accidentally dropping the leash connected to a vicious dog. Sure, they may not have done it intentionally, but they need to be held accountable for whatever harm that dog inflicts. I’ve simply never seen a truck lose control when it is being driven at a speed that is safe for traffic, curve in the road, or incline. So if the truck driver let the vehicle get away from him, the trucking company needs to be held accountable for it.
