North Baltimore, OH — A woman was injured in an accident involving two semi-trucks in North Baltimore, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. The accident took place on Interstate 75, around 10:30 at night.
Police say that Kara Brown failed to maintain control of her Chevrolet Cavalier and crashed into a concrete barrier. Her vehicle was hit by a semi being driven by Phillip Tjaden. His truck was then hit by another semi being driven by Navjodh Sandhar.
Reports say that both Brown and Sandhar were injured in the accident. The extent of those injuries is unknown.
Authorities cited Brown for failing to maintain control of her vehicle.
The accident is still being investigated.

Many accidents like this come down to a matter of timing. Brown crashed into the median, and was then hit by Tjaden’s semi-truck. How much time passed between the two collisions? Is it possible that Tjaden was following Brown’s vehicle too closely? Not every accident out on the road can be avoided, so the question we may need to be asking is, did this accident have to be as bad as it was?
