New Braunfels, TX — A woman was injured after being hit by a car in New Braunfels, Texas, on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. The accident took place on Interstate 35, near the intersection with Kohlenberg Road.
According to local reports, a Lexus had stopped in the middle of the road, and a semi-truck traveling behind it swerved to avoid a collision, causing it to roll over. Moments later, a Kia crashed into the back of the Lexus.
An 18-year old woman was at the scene and rushed out into the street to held the driver of the Lexus as the Kia was speeding closer. The force of the collision pushed the Lexus into the 18-year old, who authorities found laying on the side of the interstate.
Both the woman and the driver of the Lexus were hospitalized. The names of both individuals have not been released. Police are continuing to investigate the crash in an attempt to figure out why the Lexus had stopped in the middle of the road.
