Commentary:
Does anybody know where the victim was standing in the road when they were struck? Were they off to the side of the road like most people are when walking down major thoroughfares, or was he in the lanes of traffic? If he was off to the side of the road, then what was the truck doing driving off the road too? If the truck veered out of the traffic lanes and struck the victim, something that happens frequently, then the victim more than likely be faulted for the accident. Now, there aren’t enough details in the news about the accident, so I’d need to see more before I said anything concrete.
