Accidents like this, in which multiple vehicles are involved, can get tricky very fast. The long and short of it is that accidents like this are capable of causing a lot of damage, and a lot of damage often costs a lot of money to fix. That’s a bill no one wants to be stuck with. So if there’s even a chance that someone else was responsible for an accident, a commercial vehicle or anyone else involved is going to do everything they can to point the finger at everyone else. Insurance companies know this is going to buy them a lot of time, and ultimately help to decrease the amount of money they’ll be required to pay out, so they’re fine with it. Again, these sorts of accidents can be very complicated, so those involved in them should educate themselves on how they’re typically handled. That way, they won’t be taken advantage of.
