Bangor, ME — Seventeen people were hospitalized following a chain-reaction accident near Bangor, Maine, that involved 75 vehicles. At least one school bus, as well as several tractor-trailers were involved. Miraculously, no one was killed in the accident.
Police say that, from a preliminary investigation of the accident that took place on Wednesday, February 25, no one care was responsible for the accident. Officials say that weather conditions and icy roads are responsible for the accident.
The injured were treated at local hospitals, including Eastern Maine Medical Center and St. Joseph’s. Officials said that those hurt in the accident had injuries ranging from good to serious.
In all, more than 50 vehicles had to be towed. Police are still investigating the accident.

Accidents like this, in which multiple vehicles are involved, can get tricky very fast. The long and short of it is that accidents like this are capable of causing a lot of damage, and a lot of damage often costs a lot of money to fix. That’s a bill no one wants to be stuck with. So if there’s even a chance that someone else was responsible for an accident, a commercial vehicle or anyone else involved is going to do everything they can to point the finger at everyone else.
