SUV Accident on Tyler St in Downtown Amarillo, TX Injures Woman

Amarillo, TX — There was an accident between two SUVs in Amarillo that injured a woman on Wednesday of this week, February 4, 2015. Police said that it happened at about 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon at the intersection of S. Tyler Street& SW 11th Avenue.
According to the APD’s reports, the vehicles involved were a white SUV and a black SUV. The black SUV was allegedly driving east along SW 11th Avenue yesterday afternoon when the driver came to the intersection at Tyler St. and didn’t stop at the stop sign.
It rolled into the path of a white SUV that was driving north on Tyler, which caused a collision. The white SUV ended up rolling over and the woman driving was immediately taken to a hospital. At the last update, here condition wasn’t critical or life-threatening. However, her name wasn’t released. Police didn’t say whether the black SUV’s driver would be charged with anything.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.
