Commentary
It’s surprising, but many people don’t know how or if they’d be covered if they were ever injured in a car accident while riding in someone else’s vehicle. It’s important for people to know that insurance follows a driver, so if they were ever injured, they’d be covered by the driver’s insurance. That’s as it should be. If a passenger is injured because a driver was engaged in unsafe behavior, they should be held responsible for it. After all, drivers have a legal obligation to create and maintain a safe driving environment for their passengers.
