Grand Prairie, TX — A driver died on Sunday and two teenagers were injured, 17-year old Anthony Rodriguez and 19-year old Blanca Garza, after their cars collided in an accident. Police in Grand Prairie said that this happened around 4:45 p.nm. on Sunday afternoon, January 25, 2015.
Garza and Rodriguez were driving a Chevrolet Impala along Corn Valley Road that Sunday while a man in a Honda Accord was driving along Grenoble Drive, which is a residential street. The news reports said that the man in the Honda Accord tried to make a left turn onto Corn Valley Road, attempting to go north.
However, he didn’t yield to Blanca Garza’s Chevrolet Impala, which was headed south on Corn Valley Road. The two vehicles collided, leaving the Honda’s driver dead at the scene and both Blanca Garza and Anthony Rodriguez with injuries.
More investigation is needed, the police said, as they’re not sure why the Honda tried to turn left that afternoon without yielding.
