Sources stated that Gary Donivan, a 44-year old officer with the San Antonio Police Department, was injured in a motorcycle accident in Selma on October 29, 2012. Donivan was reportedly driving along I-35 at about 2:30 p.m. when he was involved in an accident with another vehicle near FM 1518.

Donivan, who is a 19-year veteran with the police, was taken to a hospital and treated for major head trauma. He was not wearing a helmet, reports said.
