Phoenix, AZ — A two-vehicle car accident in Phoenix, Arizona, left a person dead and three injured on Sunday, January 11, 2015. The accident happened at the intersection of Elliot Road and South 51st Street.
Reports say that one of the two vehicle crashed into the back of another vehicle and lost control. It then went on to crash into another. Witnesses to the accident say the vehicle was speeding before the initial collision.
The driver of the speeding vehicle suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, where he died a short time later. The other three involved in the accident were also injured. Two had to be extricated from the wreckage by emergency workers. One of the three suffered critical injuries.
The names of those involved have not been released.
Police are investigating. At this time it isn’t clear whether or not any outside factors contributed to the crash.
