Ulster, PA — There was an accident reported last week that has now resulted in a driver from Ulster being charged for the death of 53-year old Amanda Barlow, police stated. Amanda Barlow was killed last Thursday (January 8, 2015) after she was in a wreck along Cash Creek Road with Martin Miller, 43.
It happened at about 10:30 p.m. at night, along a particularly sharp curve in the road on Cash Creek. Police said that Martin Miller was driving his car south along Cash Creek Road that night with Barlow as a passenger when he lost control on the curve and crashed.
His car swerved off the road and apparently went down a small embankment, overturning in the process. Barlow was partially thrown from the Miller’s small Ford Ranger truck and was critically injured. Police said that she passed away at the scene while Miller was found at his home a short time later. It’s not clear if he had fled the scene or not.
As of Sunday, MIller is being charged with a second-degree felony (Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury) but police are still investigating.
