Commentary:
News reports said that the offending driver was cited after the accident, but people need to understand that a citation and fault are rarely mutually exclusive. A speeder can fight and beat a speeding ticket in court, but if they still caused an accident while they were driving, they could still be faulted. This could be the case here, and people need to know that just because an offending driver was ticketed, doesn’t mean they have a foolproof case against the driver.
