Greenville, MS — A 63-year old man was sent to the hospital with critical injuries after being hit by a car on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. The accident happened in Greenville, Mississippi, around 5:30 in the afternoon.
The man who was hit was identified as Jessie Pritchett. Police say he was walking in the 800 block of North Broadway Avenue when the accident occurred. Paramedics responding to the accident transported the man to a local hospital.
The driver of the vehicle responsible for the accident wasn’t identified. Reports say she is an 81-year old woman. The exact reason for the accident is unclear at this point.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash. No other injuries were reported.
