Katy, TX — Last night, there was an accident in a corporate business’s parking lot that resulted in a 22-year old male motorcyclist being taken to a hospital with some serious injuries. Police said that a motorcyclist was hit by a driver who was performing “doughnuts” in the parking lot.
This happened late on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. The details aren’t yet being released, but the news reports all place the accident at a parking lot located at Primewest Parkway and Park Row Drive.
Allegedly, a group of drivers was in the parking lot that night, putting on a show by doing doughnuts and other “trick” driving stunts. The 22-year old motorcyclist tried to ride across the parking lot, potentially doing stunts of his own, when he was hit by a car that was doing a doughnut.
The accident resulted in the motorcyclist suffering a serious head injury as well as two broken legs. He was taken to a hospital immediately via medical helicopter, where they said that he would survive.
The driver of the car wasn’t hurt in the accident. Police said that they don’t think alcohol was a factor, just reckless driving. It remains to be seen whether charges will be filed.
