Texas state trooper injured in accident with drunk driver

On June 21, 2008 a Texas state trooper was injured when his patrol car was struck by an allegedly drunk driver. The accident occurred on the access road to interstate 45 near the Rayford-Sawdust intersection. The trooper and the man were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Witnesses report seeing the driver of the other vehicle driving in an unsafe manner. Allegedly he was swerving from lane to lane and behaving in a drunken fashion.
