DILLON, SC — Donald Hays died after a two-vehicle accident that happened in Dillon, South Carolina on Saturday, December 13th, 2014. The news article released by South Carolina Now said that the accident happened just before 6:00 Saturday evening.
68-year-old Donald Hays died when the car he was driving was hit by another vehicle head-on while driving on Highway 301. Police believe that the other vehicle drove over the center line of traffic after losing control when it collided head-on with Hays’ vehicle.
Hays was killed in the crash. Two other passengers and the driver of the offending vehicle were taken to the hospital after the accident.
South Carolina State Patrol representatives are helping Dillon County officials with the accident investigation at this time.
