Catlettsburg, KY — Late Saturday morning, there was a collision between a pickup truck and a semi-truck that killed two local men. Police later identified the victims as Charles Ray, 27, and Christopher Day, 27.
Apparently, the two men passed away after their pickup truck crossed in front of an 18-wheeler truck along U.S. 23/Louisa Road. This took place a few miles south of Catlettsburg at about 10:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, December 13, 2014.
Charles Ray and Christopher Day were both in a pickup truck headed south on U.S. 23 that morning (Ray was driving) when Ray lost control and swerved into the northbound lanes. His pickup collided head-on with an oncoming 18-wheeler truck, which killed both Ray and Day immediately.
The truck driver wasn’t harmed, however. The local authorities with the State Police and Boyd County are investigating this in the coming days.
