Dallas Police officer injured when struck by a pickup truck

On May 31, 2008 a Dallas Police Depertment officer was injured when he was struck by a black truck. The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of North Central Expressway near Ross Ave. as the officer was directing traffic at the scene of another accident. The officer was transported to a local hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
