Commentary
Accidents like this always need to be looked at very closely, because in many cases, it turns out they were completely preventable. And the cause will definitely affect who’s ultimately held liable. If the crash occurred because of some kind of mechanical defect, that could be an issue with the auto manufacturer, and hey could be liable for the accident. If the accident occurred because of something the driver did, then it’s very possible he wil be held liable, as a passenger’s well-being is the driver’s responsibility.
