WACO, TX — Eugene Herr was hurt in a plane crash that was reported at McGregor Aiport in Waco, Texas on Sunday, November 30th, 2014. The article from KWTX said that the accident happened at about 1:00 Sunday afternoon.
65-year-old Eugene Herr was hurt when the small plane he was flying crashed just after takeoff. Authorities said that they think the wind blew the plane so that the wing collided with a black SUV. The winds continued to throw the plane after it achieved liftoff when it crashed upside down near Highway 84.
Herr was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Medical Center where he was being treated for numerous injuries.
The Waco Fire Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety were helping with the accident scene.
