Jourdanton, TX — Police have confirmed that a local man from Jourdanton passed away late last week after a car accident just north of the city. They identified the man as Daniel Gonzalez, 26, and said that he died after his pickup truck was in a wreck with another pickup truck.
This happened last Friday morning (November 21, 2014) along Old Pearsall Road. Daniel Gonzalez was driving his pickup truck (a Chevy) west along Old Pearsall Road when he lost control and started to swerve into oncoming traffic.
His truck then started to fishtail and was hit by an eastbound Dodge pickup truck. The impact critically injured Gonzalez and he was declared dead a short time later by paramedics. The driver of the Dodge truck was also injured and taken to a hospital to be treated.
He was later identified as Isaac Friese. Police didn’t mention, however, what caused Gonzalez to lose control of his truck last Friday morning.
