Coffee City, TX — Two people were killed in a head-on collision that took place in Coffee City, Texas, on Saturday, November 15, 2014. The accident took place on FM 3506, around 11:45 in the morning.
The accident was between a pickup truck and another vehicle. Both drivers were alone in their respective vehicles at the time of the accident, and both were pronounced dead at the scene. The preliminary results of the police investigation say that it appears the truck crossed the road’s center line and collided with the other vehicle.
The names of the victims have not been released.
Authorities have said that it does not appear as it alcohol played a role in the movie. Their investigation is ongoing.

If police conclude that this accident was caused by one vehicle crossing over the center line and crashing into the other, then of course they’d be held liable for the accident. However, one thing people may not realize is that even when fault seems to rest pretty squarely on the other guy, their insurance carrier is legally obligated to defend them. So, even though the accident may seem clear cut, a plaintiff needs to be ready for the defendant to give them a fight.
