Midland, TX — This past Sunday night, there was a major accident along Terrell Street in the southern part of Midland that left a motorcyclist with critical injuries. The man’s name was later released as Samuel Delgado Jr., 34, and police said that he was from Midland.
The accident happened on Sunday night at about 8:30 p.m. Delgado was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle south along Terrell Street that evening and a Chevrolet SUV was headed east on New Jersey Avenue.
As the two reached the intersection, it looks like the SUV might have run its stop sign, pulling into Delgado’s path. His motorcycle crashed into the SUV and he was critically injured as a result.
The SUV’s driver wasn’t injured, but is apparently facing charges related to the accident. At last update, the motorcyclist was in critical condition at Midland Memorial.
