Commentary
Luckily, this accident doesn’t seem to be nearly as bad as it could have been. Reports say that police are investigating to see if alcohol payed a role in the crash. From what’s been described, and given the time of night at which the accident occurred, it’s definitely a possibility. If that’s the case, then it’s possible there may be a bar out there that’s partially liable for the accident. However that turns out, the driver is going to bear responsibility for anything that may have happened to his passenger. The results of the investigation will determine whether he bears that liability alone.
