Philadelphia, PA — A head-on car accident left a man, 34, injured and his wife deda this past Wednesday morning in Philadelphia. Police have since identified the woman who died as Izabella Vekker, 40 years old.
They said the accident happened around 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning (October 22, 2014). Vekker and her husband were in a Toyota RAV4 that was headed north along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when a woman in a southbound car lost control for unknown reasons.
The oncoming car swerved into the Vekker’s lane and caused a head-on collision. Both Izabella Vekker and her husband were hospitalized with serious injuries, but Izabella later passed away.
At the last update, her husband was still being treated at a hospital. The woman who lost control and caused the accident hasn’t been identified or charged.
