Odessa, TX — There was an early-morning accident last Friday that killed a local Odessa man: 23-year old Trevor Gilbert. Police said that Gilbert passed away last Friday morning (October 17, 2014) at about 3:45 a.m.
He had been riding his motorcycle south along County Road 1286 that morning when he lost control near the intersection with County Road 127. The police aren’t quite sure what happened, but said that it looks like Gilbert continued riding his motorcycle straight at the T-intersection, and into the field ahead.
The motorcycle crashed off the road and Gilbert was killed immediately. Police said they’d keep investigating the cause of this accident. They also noted that Gilbert’s death was the 29th in Midland County for 2014, said that there is a death every 10 days.
