Amarillo lanscaper suffers severe burns in grass fire

On April 28, 2008 a landcsaper in Amarillo, TX. suffered severe burns resulting from equipment failure. The accident occured when the unnamed victim was operating a riding a tractor at a residence on the 4400 block of Oldham Lane. The tractor's fuel line was severed causing the fuel to empty onto the hot exhaust pipe. This quickly escalated into a grassfire that engulfed the victim resulting in severe burns over 15% of his body.

The man was transported to a Dallas, TX. hospital for treatment of his burns. He is listed in critical condition.
