Somers, WI — Police said that the driver responsible for killing one man last month and injuring a woman is going to face alcohol-related charges. Robert Miller was killed on Sunday morning, September 21, 2014 after his car was hit by alleged drunk driver Alejandro Ramirez-Gonzalez’ pickup truck.
Also injured in Robert Miller’s car was Christine Miller. Police said that Ramirez-Gonzalez was spotted driving the wrong way along northbound I-94 near Highway A that Sunday morning by a trooper. After the officer gave chase, Ramirez-Gonzalez continued to flee and eventually got into a head-on wreck with the Miller’s car near Highway 142.
The accident injured both Ramirez-Gonzalez and Christine Miller, but Robert Miller was killed immediately.
After the accident, police said that Ramirez-Gonzalez was tested for alcohol in his bloodstream. The results were a 0.19%, which is well over twice the legal limit of 0.08%. He is currently facing charges.
