BENBROOK, TX — Lexa Adams was killed in a two-vehicle accident that happened in Benbrook, Texas on Saturday, October 4th, 2014. The report from The Fort Worth Star Telegram said the accident happened around 2:30 Saturday morning.
29-year-old Lexa Adams was killed when the Kia she was driving crashed into another vehicle while driving on Highway 377. Authorities think Adams’ car crossed the median where it hit a Toyota SUV head-on.
Adams was pronounced dead after the accident, while the driver of the SUV was taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital for unspecified injuries.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.

While we don’t have any concrete confirmation, based on the 2:30 time of the accident, I don’t think it is crazy to assume alcohol may be a factor here. If alcohol is a confirmed factor, people may look at this and say “so what, she caused the accident, she’s in control of how much she drinks”, but is this really true? Do bartenders and servers have control over how much you drink? Actually, they do, and on top of having that control, they have a legal duty to exercise it when they feel that their customer is becoming intoxicated. It may be illegal to drive drunk, but it is also illegal to over-serve somebody to the point of intoxication, and if that happened here, should the person that managed the victims service ever go unpunished?
