Two Dallas motorcycle cops are injured

Two Dallas Police Department motorcycle cops were injured in the same day. The first accident occured when an officer attempted a routine traffic stop near the 2100 block of South Westmoreland Avenue, in Oak Cliff. The driver that was being pulled over abruptly applied his brakes causing the officer to crash into the back of his car.

A second officer en route to the first accident scene crashed into a vehicle while crossing the intersection of North Ewing Avenue and East Eighth Street. Both officers were taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
