Lubbock, TX — There was a serious accident last week between an SUV and a Ford Mustang that left seven people injured in the SW Lubbock area. Police said that a Ford Mustang ran a red light, crashing into the SUV, last Friday evening at about 5:30 p.m.
It happened at the intersection of Spur 327 and Frankford Avenue that evening (September 26, 2014). The Mustang was driving north along Frankford when it came to the intersection with Spur 327 and allegedly disregarded a red light.
The Mustang then crashed into an SUV that was driving west on Spur 327’s access road, which caused a major collision. A total of seven people were injured and the drivers of both the SUV and the Mustang were reportedly in serious condition.
So far, it’s not clear if police will be filing any charges against the Mustang’s driver. They noted that the Mustang was speeding before the accident.
