Christian Mendoza injured in workplace accident

On Wednesday April 16, 2008 29-year-old Christian Mendoza suffered a workplace accident when he fell a distance of 60 feet while working on a wind turbine electric generator in Abilene, TX. Mendoza was servicing a turbine at the Horse Hollow Wind Farm. Sources say he was working inside the shaft when he lost his balance and fell 60 feet before landing on a platform that was approximately 30 feet from the ground. Mendoza was taken to a local hospital and suffered several broken bones.
