Longview, TX — A 73-year old man who died after being hit by a passing truck in Longview, Texas, has been identified as Herman Procell. Procell stepped out into East Marshall Avenue on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, where he was hit by a truck being driven by Marcus Fort.
Fort was moving from the inside to the outside lane of East Marshall when Procell stepped into the street. Fort would tell local authorities that he didn’t have time to stop, and collided with Procell. Emergency workers took Procell to Good Shepherd Medical Center, where he passed away a short time later.
Police investigating the accident say that they don’t expect any charges to be filed.
