Plano, TX — A utility pole fell over, landing on a vehicle and injuring the person inside in Plano, Texas, on Thursday, July 31, 2014. The accident took place on Custer Road, between Plano Parkway and 15th Street.
Reports say that a worker was doing construction work in the area and operating a backhoe. The backhoe was moved to high and crashed into the utility pole, which brought it down on Ling Xiaoli’s car, causing him to injure his head. We’re not sure exactly how extensive that injury was.
Police are calling the incident an accident and say they don’t expect any criminal charges to be brought.
