2 houston cops injured by drunk drivers

Two Houston Police officers were injured by two different drunk drivers at the same scene. The first accident happened early in the morning on April 19, 2008 when a police officer was called to investigate a report of a driver driving the wrong way on the interstate feeder road. The officer attempted to pull the driver over when he was struck by the alleged drunk. The drivier was arrested for driving while intoxicated and the officer was taken to a local hospital.

A second officer was hit by a second drunk driver moments later. The second officer was parked with her lights on to redirect traffic when an alleged drunk driver collided with her police cruiser. She was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition. The second driver was arrested as well.
