EAST WINDSOR, NJ — One man remains in critical condition following an accident with a box truck in East Windsor, New Jersey on Thursday, July 17th, 2014, according to the article released by the Cranbury Press.
Accident investigators working with police say that an as-of-yet unidentified cyclist was seriously hurt when he was struck by a box truck owned and operated by All Jersey Moving & Storage Inc. The driver of the box truck was later identified as Eric Kathcart.
The victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where a spokesperson last listed him in critical condition.
The New Jersey State Police are helping with the accident investigation.

Accidents with cyclists often depend heavily on the placement of the victim in the road when the accident happened. Bearing in mind that the news report contains virtually no concrete details on what transpired in the accident. I can say though, that if the cyclist was in a designated biking lane, a sidewalk, or a crosswalk, then the box truck is probably going bear the fault in this accident. Again, I’d need to see a full, detailed report on the accident before saying anything definitive.
