TITUS COUNTY, TX — Three individuals were seriously hurt after a collision that was reported in Titus County, Teas on Tuesday, August 12th, 2014, according to the news article from The Daily Tribune.
Three individuals were rushed to the hospital after the sedan they were in collided with a tractor-trailer after crossing from the southbound lanes to the northbound lanes while driving on Highway 271 around 10:30 Tuesday morning. The vehicle was spun by the impact before it caught fire. The tractor-trailer drove off the road and into a wooded patch just off the pavement.
A father and two children in the passenger car were taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital where they were being treated for unspecified injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was immediately unhurt.
During the accident cleanup, another semi-truck jaccknifed to avoid the collision. That driver sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is still investigating the accident.

Based on the few news reports pertaining to the accident that I see, I’m going to step out on a limb and say that the passenger car may bear some of the fault in this accident.
