Milam County, TX — The pilot of a crop duster was hospitalized after his plane crashed near FM 485 in Milam County, Texas. The accident took place on Saturday, August 16, 2014, around ten in the morning.
The pilot, identified as Richard Ranspot, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center. There’s been no information on his current status.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated. News outlets have reported that the plane is a Cessna 188 and has not been manufactured since 1985.
It has not been announced whether the FAA or NTSB will be brought in to assist in the investigation.
