Tyler, TX — An accident between an SUV and a bicyclist sent a woman to the hospital in Tyler, Texas, on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. The accident took place in the 7500 block of Old Jacksonville Highway, around 8:15 in the evening.
Police say that Devin Hunter was driving an SUV northbound along Old Jacksonville when he came upon a group 7-10 bikers. Attempting to drive around them, he wasn’t able to avoid hitting Kristin Blaise.
Blaise, a member of the Tyler Bicycle Club, was treated on scene by an off-duty doctor until emergency workers arrived. She was then taken to the East Texas Medical Center. Officials say her injuries are non-life-threatening.
It’s unclear if Hunter will face any charges.
