Clermont, KY — Police say that cell phone use while driving was the cause of one woman’s death in Clermont, Kentucky. The accident took place on Happy Hollow Road on Thursday, August 21, 2014, around 5:15 in the afternoon.
The woman, who has not been identified, was using her cell phone while driving near the Jim Beam American Stillhouse. She stopped at a stop sign as she came to Highway 245, but pulled out in front of a dump truck, where she was hit.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
