Hudson Oaks, TX — Police believe that alcohol was involved in an accident that left a woman dead on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, in Hudson Oaks, Texas.
The accident took place in the parking lot of the local Walmart. Police say Marla Carroll was walking into the store to begin her shift that night when she was hit by a pickup truck being driven by a 16-year old girl. After the accident, the girl switched seats with a friend in the truck, and the two drove off.
The girl went back to the Walmart later that evening where she was arrested. Police believe that she had been drinking, and that that was a factor in the crash. However, officials will have to wait until results from a toxicology test have returned to know for sure.
Police say that after driving away the girl and her friend got into another wreck.
The accident is still under investigation.
