Grants, NM — A man was killed in an accident involving three vehicles near Grant, New Mexico, on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. The accident took place on Interstate 40.
According to reports, a semi-truck was traveling east on 40 when its front driver’s side tire blew out. The semi drove into the oncoming lane of traffic before hitting a guardrail and overturning.
A second semi-truck came close to colliding with the first, however, the second was struck by a third truck, which set both vehicles on fire. The collision ejected the third driver from his vehicle, killing him.
The third truck was a tanker carrying a diesel oil mix. However, the fuel didn’t ignite, and was transferred to another truck.
