Killeen, TX — A 10-year old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a passing car while riding his bike in Killeen, Texas, on Friday, July 25, 2014. The accident took place at the intersection of Westcliff Road and Cedarhill Drive.
The 10-year old was riding his bike with a friend, and rode out into the intersection at the same time as a passing Cadillac. The car and the bike collided, leaving the boy pinned beneath the car. His friend, riding on the back of the bike at the time, was able to jump clear before the collision.
The boy was taken to McLane’s Children’s Hospital. There’s been no update on his exact condition, although doctors describe his injuries as non-life-threatening.
Local officials are still investigating the accident.
