Michelle Wallace Severely Injured After Car Wreck near Poplar Bluff, MO


According to news reports a single-vehicle accident left one woman injured in Poplar Bluff MO on July 23 2012. Sources identified the woman as 23-year old Michelle L. Wallace. Police stated that Wallace crashed her vehicle into a culvert while driving east along Highway M. The accident happened at about 5:00 in the evening.

Apparently Wallaces car veered off the road when she struck the culvert but there were no more details available. A emergency response team transported her to the St. Francis Medical Center and she was treated for serious injuries according to reports.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.
