ALDEN, NY — A passenger is in serious condition and a driver is dead following a head-on collision that happened in Alden, New York on Thursday, June 19th, 2014, according to the report released by WIVB.
Representatives working with local accident investigation teams have said that they have reason to believe 70-year-old Griffith Warrick was hurt when the vehicle in which he was a passenger collided head-on with another vehicle while driving through the intersection of North and County Line Road around 10:00 Thursday morning.

Griffith Warrick was taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital where an update on their condition was immediately unavailable by hospital staff. The driver of the vehicle was identified in the news as 80-year-old Thomas Luche, who died after the accident.
The investigation is currently being handled by representatives from the New York State Police.
